GATES – Larry Benthall II, 16, of Gates passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Duke Hospital in Durham.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Valiery Benthall; a brother, Darrell Riddick; and three sisters, Sasha and Tiya Taylor, both of Powellsville, and Loren Taylor of Aulander.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Gates County High School. Burial will follow in the Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church cemetery.
