RODUCO – Ronald Eugene Gough, 67, peacefully departed this life in his home on January 19, 2013.

Ronnie was born February 26, 1945 in Clifton Forge, VA and was the son of James and Mary Hayes Gough. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his eldest brother, James.

He worked as a Quality Control Inspector with Dupont in Waynesboro, VA and while employed there met his wife, Carolyn. After retirement, they moved back to Roduco, her childhood home. He was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Parker Gough; his son, Gary and wife Beth, and their sons, Adam and Alex of Staunton, VA; three brothers, Lewis and wife Betty and Marion and wife Lindy, all of Swoope, VA, and twin brother Don, also of Virginia.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Revs. Roger Kiker and Billy Presley. This celebration of Ronnie’s life is on his and Carolyn’s twenty-eighth wedding anniversary. The inurnment of his cremated remains will be private.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting with arrangements.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or the Men’s Brotherhood of Cool Spring Baptist Church.
