GATES – Patricia Jones Boyce, 60, of 149 Hazelton Road, Gates, died Friday, December 7, 2012 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA.

Mrs. Boyce was born in Suffolk and was the daughter of Etta Jernigan Jones of Gates and the late Thomas Earl Jones.  A retired executive assistant with the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court in Suffolk, she was a member of Savage’s United Methodist Church.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Daniel Alexander Boyce, on January 14th of this year.

In addition to her mother, survivors include two sons, Paul Boyce and wife, Armecia, of Gates and Jack Boyce and wife, Heather, of Eure; and her four grandchildren, Gracie, Thomas, Alexandria Leigh, and William Daniel Boyce.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Revs. Lafayette Wilkins and Joseph E. Buck, Sr.  Friends may join the family Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.
