George Ashley “Buck” Liverman

MURFREESBORO – George Ashley “Buck” Liverman, 69, of Murfreesboro died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Ahoskie.

He was a lifelong resident of Hertford County and was owner and operator of V. J. Liverman & Son, Inc. in Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vavassor Jackson “V.J.” Liverman; sister, Jackie L. Barnes; brother-in-law, Dick Whitley; and son-in-law, Royce H. Goff.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ellen Bristow Liverman of the home; mother, Juliette Porter Liverman of Murfreesboro; children, Jenny Bennett and husband, Dennis, of Murfreesboro, Jeany Flythe and husband, James, of Roanoke Rapids, Jack Liverman and wife, Joyce, of Roanoke Rapids, and Jeff Liverman and wife, Kendra, of Annapolis, MD; nine grandchildren, Ryland Flythe, Tyler Liverman, Rachel Bennett, Cassidy Goff, Cody Liverman, Morgan Flythe, Alex Liverman, Brayden Liverman, and Grayson Liverman; sister, Crystal Whitley of Murfreesboro; brothers-in-law, Johnny Barnes of Potecasi and Tim Bristow and wife, Kitty, of Conway; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway on Monday, December 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and the graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Parsons presiding.
