Sandra Lane Davis

CONWAY-Mrs. Sandra Lane Davis, age 72, died at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
She was a native of Northampton County, born to the late Tulie Mae Outland Lane and the late Harvey Lane.
Mrs. Davis graduated from Rich Square High School. She was married to Sidney Allen, Sr. and to this marriage was born three boys. Mrs. Davis enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, quilting, arranging flowers and gardening. She often shared the benefits of these talents with those close to her and her family. Mrs. Davis was a true homemaker, making sure all the needs of her family were well taken care of.
Later in life she was married to Robert Lee Davis and they lived in Salisbury,MD for twelve years until returning to Northampton County to care for her mother. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Conway.
Also preceding her in death other than her mother and father is a sister, Ann Capolinqua; and a brother,William E. Lane.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Davis of the home; three sons, Sid Allen, Jr. and his wife, Penny, of Conway, Steve Allen and his wife, Sherry, of Pendleton, and Stewart Allen and his wife, Jennifer, of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Jean Hasty and her husband, Bill, of Charleston, SC, and Linda Sumner and her husband, Hun, of Lasker; and two step daughters, Deborah Milne and Belinda Garber and her husband, Jody, all of Salisbury, MD. Also surviving are grandchildren, Holley Harris and her husband Josh, Will Allen, Candi Allen, Hunter Allen, Allison Allen, Taylor Allen and Kylie Allen; step grandchildren, Melissa Welch, Robbie Lynch, Sonya Pusey, Matthew Lynch, Lindsay Johnson and Hailey Garber; and eight step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Zion United Methodist Church in Conway with the Rev. Suzanne Cobb officiating. The interment will follow at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square.
The family will receive friends at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square on Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
