RICH SQUARE – Mr. Earnest Carlton Mizelle, age 79 of Rich Square, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Mizelle was born December 4, 1932, the son of the late Kelly Linwood Mizelle and Ethel Jones Mizelle. He was a retired truck driver and a Korean War Veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Julia Godwin Mizelle; three children, Shirley Belangia of Greenville, Julia M. Al’Sammari of Kuwait, and Katherine M. Overton of Suffolk, VA; two sisters, Elsie Pierce and Faye Pierce of Union; six grandchildren, Larry Belangia, Samatha Ann Casper, Sarah Khmus, Nourah Al’Sammari, Danah Al’Sammari and Fadila Al’Sammari; and one great grandchild, Makayla Casper.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander with the Rev. Henry C. Boschen officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
