Christopher Robin Spivey

ROANOKE RAPIDS – Christopher Robin Spivey, age 58, of 310 Carolina Street, Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence.

Chris was born in Sarasota, FL, the son of the late William B. Spivey. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976.  He was the owner and operator of Farm City in Roanoke Rapids.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cissy; son, Matt; daughter, Laura (Trey); grandchildren, Haley, Kaylee and Zachary; mother, Elizabeth; brother, Mike; sister, Debby (Ralph), Peggy (Jack) and many nieces and nephews, all of whom enjoyed his love and sense of humor.

Chris belonged to the Lord Jesus and entrusted his life to his care.  We will miss him, but take comfort in knowing he is in the care of the one who loves him even more than we do.

A memorial service was held in First United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 23, 2012 with the Rev. Cory B. Oliver officiating.
