WINTON – Patricia Chappell Roberson, 48, of 203 Tunis Road, Winton, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mrs. Roberson was born in Suffolk, VA and was the daughter of the late Herman Ray, Sr. and Rosa Umphlette Chappell.  A homemaker, she was a member of Closer Walk Ministries Church in the Tunis community.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joshuea D. Roberson.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin Lee Roberson, Jr.; her daughter, Mindy Belair and husband Michael of Japan; her son, Derrick Lee Roberson of Winton; three sisters, Rosa Mae Green of Franklin, VA, Margaret Hawkins of Corapeake, and Darlene Moyer of Gates; five brothers, Herman Ray Chappell, Jr., Billy Lee Chappell, James Charles Chappell, and Glenn Allen Chappell, all of Suffolk, VA, and Marvin Thomas Chappell of Sunbury; and three grandsons, Tyler Lee Roberson, Logan David Roberson, and Skyler Kolh Roberson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Closer Walk Ministries Church by Pastor Michael Blow.  Friends may join the family at the church immediately following services on Saturday.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
