CONWAY – Mr. Lensey Elias Vinson, age 69, died at the Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Monday, July 9, 2012.

Mr. Vinson made his home in Pinetops Community. He grew up there farming and continuing to farm as a career following high school. He loved to garden and work the land. Mr. Vinson enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.  He was very dedicated to his wife and family.

Preceding him in death are his mother and father, Lennie Flythe and James Vinson, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Martin Vinson of the home; one daughter, Jennifer V. Hobbs and her husband, Michael, of Wilmington; three sons, W. Kelly Vinson and his wife, Sharon, of Woodland, Michael Vinson and his wife, Brandy, of Chocowinity, and M. Chad Vinson of Conway; and one brother, James Vinson, Jr. and his wife, Faye, of Conway.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Cole Hobbs, Jessup Hobbs, and Katie, Bill, Cheyenne and Levi Vinson; and one great grandchild, Jordan Vinson.

Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
