AHOSKIE – George Powell III of Ahoskie died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at New Bethany Baptist Church.  Burial followed in the church cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, handled the arrangements.
