Marion Martin Wilson

RICHMOND, VA – Marion Martin Wilson, 85, departed this life on Sunday, July 1, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, C.B. “Bev” Wilson; her parents, J. Ira Martin and Hattie Mae Bridgers Martin; brothers, Jasper Martin and Junius Martin; sisters, Pauline Bridgers and Margaret Johnston.
She is survived by her three children, Lori A. Wilson, Beverley C. Wilson and husband, Donald Privett, and Graham H. Wilson and wife, Tina Wilson; and three grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Ashley Privett and Ian Privett; and sisters, Julia M. Beasley and Flossie M. Vick; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was born June 18, 1927 in Milwaukee, N.C., located in Northampton County. She graduated from Conway High School and attended East Carolina Teachers College (East Carolina University). She was an avid reader and passed that love of books on to her children.
After raising her three children, she began a second career working 15 years at Philip Morris in Richmond, VA.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 at Bliley’s – Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 6 at Beulah United Methodist Church, 6930 Hopkins Road, followed by a brief graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
