AHOSKIE – Eunice Julia Warren Barnes, age 79, of the Ahoskie-Cofield Road, formerly of Chesapeake, VA, died Thursday, May 25, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Barnes was born on August 26, 2932, in Norfolk, VA, a daughter of the late Horace C. and Mary Virginia Libby Warren.  She was as member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chesapeake, VA and had retired as a machine operator with Southland Corp.  She was the widow of Arthur Lee Barnes, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lonnie D. Warren and his wife, Joyce F. Warren, of Chesapeake, VA, and Arthur Lee Barnes, III and wife, Janet T. Barnes, of Chesapeake; a brother, Bill Warren of Norfolk, VA; 21 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by two children, Barbara Lyn Chevlier and David Ray Barnes.

A visitation was held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home, Ahoskie. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
