AHOSKIE – William Woodrow Pritchard, 76, of 315 Ruritan Street, Ahoskie, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Bertie County on April 15, 1936.  He had fought a two year battle with mouth cancer.

William was retired from Brittenham’s Rebuilding Service.  He enjoyed feeding his squirrels and birds that he visited daily in his yard.  He was a devoted and caring husband to his wife, Frances.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Creech Memorial Baptist Church in Ahoskie by the Rev. Robert May and the Rev. Bobby Skeens.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Terry Pritchard of the home; step-children, Jimmy Liverman and wife Phyllis, Kenny Liverman and Lynn Liverman (deceased), all of Ahoskie, Randy Skinner and wife Cindy of Hertford, Karen Cole and husband Joe of Jackson, Joyce Harden and husband Charles of Windsor, and Allen Skinner of Nashville; a sister, Sadie Cobb and husband Charlie of Ahoskie; and eight step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Creech Memorial Baptist Church, 501 S. Lloyd Street, Ahoskie, NC  27910.
