ROCKY MOUNT — A Murfreesboro woman was arrested here after she allegedly attempted to gain prescription drugs under false pretenses.

On Monday, Vicky Jo Green, 36, was arrested and charged with common law forgery, attempting to obtain property by false pretense and possession of a controlled substance schedule IV.

According to Rocky Mount Police Corporal Michael Lewis, the department received a call Monday evening from a Walgreens located at 2624 Sunset Ave. in reference to a person attempting to obtain prescription drugs fraudulently.

Lewis said officers responded to that location and upon investigating took Green into custody.

Green was taken before a magistrate and placed in the Nash County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
