Michelle Long of Roanoke Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Askew of Roanoke Rapids announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Michelle Askew, to Charles Brown Timberlake Jr., both of Winterville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dunn of Roanoke Rapids, Peggy Askew of Roanoke Rapids and the late Paul Askew. She is the step granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ricks. Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Edwards of Roanoke Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Timberlake Sr. of Woodland. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wray of Roanoke Rapids and the late Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Timberlake Jr., of Woodland. The couple will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Avon, NC.
