COMO – Patricia Elaine Marnell, 63, of 1218 US Hwy 258 North, Como, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Ms. Marnell was born in Portsmouth, VA and was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle S. Marnell. A homemaker, she had also retired as a corrections officer with Rivers Correctional Institute in Winton.

Surviving are her husband, M. Douglas Earley; three daughters, Tammey Darden and husband George, Pennie Herbert and husband Herb, and Traci Jones and husband Brian; a son, James “Tiger” Ellestad and wife Karen; three sisters, Florence, Bobby, and Sandra “Sue Sue”; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are Doug’s sons, Woody and Timmy Earley.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in the Earley Family Cemetery, located off of Swain’s Mill Road in Harrellsville.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
