VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Labelle Brown Evans, 93, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away peacefully at the home of her devoted daughter, Donna Evans Er of Fairfax, VA, on March 30, 2012.

Mrs. Evans was the widow of Donald Hays Evans, originally of Harrellsville, and daughter of Jesse Brown and Cora Freeman Brown of Colerain.

She graduated from Mars Hill High School, Colerain, in 1938 and from nursing school, Park View Hospital in Rocky Mount, in 1942.

She was a long time member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be held at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, located at  610 North Witchduck Road ((757) 671-1717), Virginia Beach, VA, on April 6, 2012. Viewing will be at 12 noon and the service will be at 2 p.m.
