AULANDER – Judith Lorelei Finley Godwin, age 63, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Ms. Godwin was born in Evansville, IN, a daughter of the late Everette and Sybil Lassiter Finley Whitley.  She was a licensed cosmetologist and worked as a devoted caregiver for the elderly.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Aulander.

Left to cherish her memory is a brother, Darin Mize of Blairsville, PA; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie on Tuesday evening, March 6, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m., and other times at the home of Judy Williams.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 with the Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating and the Rev. Bob Skeens officiating.  Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery.
