Amos Richard Pierce

CORAPEAKE – Amos Richard Pierce, 27, of 859 Union Branch Road, Corapeake, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Suffolk, VA as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Amos was born in Pitt County and was the son of Denise Felton of Gatesville and the late Raymond Richard Pierce.  A Baptist by faith, he was a loader operator at Gates Custom Milling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion, Thalia McCarley, and their children, Hailey Lynn Pierce and Riley David Pierce; his sister, Kaci Pierce Main of Eure; and a half-brother, Raymond Wilson Pierce of Hampton, VA.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Michael Brinkley and the Rev. Bob Deacon.  Friends may join the family at the home of his mother, 820 Court Street, Gatesville.
