DURHAM – Ms. Annette Maria Bunche (Nette), 45, of Durham, a native of Ahoskie, departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2012.

She was born on January 17, 1967 to the late James G. Bunch Sr. and Serena Jefferson of Ahoskie.

Annette leaves to cherish her memories four adorable daughters, Latoya Bunch, Emily Bunch and Christa Bunch, all of Ahoskie, and Ashley Bunch of Durham; and four grandchildren who were the heartbeats of her life, Ty’Reek Askew, Ma’Leek Askew and Megan Holloman, all of Ahoskie, and Ja’Kailah Wilson of Durham. Annette had a special place in her heart that she shared with Lamont Parrish of Suffolk, VA for 21 and one-half years.

Annette leaves behind three sisters, Elsie Powell (Linwood) and Stephanie Bunch of Ahoskie and Shelia Pitt (David) of Cartersville, GA; and six brothers, Hassan Muhammed (the late June Bunch), Rudolph Bunch (Margaret), William Bunch Sr. (Sharon), Anthony Bunch and Ronnie Bunch (Yashamah) of Ahoskie and Terrance Bunch of Aden, NC.

She also leaves behind a grandmother, Ardell Moore of Ahoskie, who she loved dearly; a godson, Markell Bunch of Raleigh; a best friend, LaShawnda Weaver of Ahoskie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her sister, Christine Bunch, and Donnie Bunch preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Soul Saving Station, Ahoskie. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie.
