RANDLEMAN – Myrtle Viola Harrell, formerly of Colerain, passed away at North Pointe Assisted Living Facility in Randleman, NC on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the age of 89.

Mrs. Harrell was born in Bertie County to the late Rupert and Nova Lowe Brown.  She was an active member of Perrytown Assembly of God Church, a loving mother and homemaker.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Anthony Gregg Harrell and wife, Mary; Kenneth B. Harrell and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Peter, Kenny, Joe, Susan, Elizabeth, Jett and Keli; great-grandchildren, Claudia and Finley; and a sister Alene Rhodes.

Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Perry Harrell; her brothers, Rupert Brown and Horace Brown; and sisters, Nova Ruth Barnes, Mary Jernigan, Clarene Glover and Francis Daniels.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Perrytown Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
