AHOSKIE – Margaret Byrum Chinsolo, age 68, died Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Ms. Chinsolo was born in Chowan County on May 28, 1943, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mildred Jones Byrum.  She was a member of Warwick Baptist Church in Chowan County and attended Winton Baptist Church.  She was a deli clerk.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jackie Pope and her husband, Richard, of Eure and Angel Thum and husband, Edward, of Foxfire, NC; her brothers, James Byrum of Tyner and Billy Byrum of Edenton; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of life graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Highland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Joseph Futrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, and other times at the home of her daughter, Jackie Pope, 145 Small Lane, Eure, NC.
