CONWAY – Frankie Joe Martin, 65, of Conway died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

He had been preceded in death by his parents, Cromon and Lassie Barnes Martin; four brothers, William Cromon Martin, Jerry Wayne Martin, Leo Raleigh Martin and Mason Junius Martin; and two sisters, Ruth Marie Harrup and Charity Camilla Martin.

He was a native of Northampton County and had retired from Rose Brothers Paving Company, Inc. and the former Phillips Drainage Company after over 30 years of faithful employment with them.

His survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Roselyn Pope Martin of their home; one son, Christopher Dale Martin and his wife, Pam of Garysburg; four grandchildren, Ashly Myranda Martin of Hillsborough, Raven Nicole Bullock, Justin Quinn Bullock and Austin Ryan Bullock and wife, Katie, all of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters, Fanny Lee Bryant of Pendleton and Betty Jean Lassiter of Milwaukee; one brother, Thomas Earl Martin of Roanoke Rapids; one sister-in-law, Alisa Starling and husband, Joe, and one brother-in-law, Emmett Pope and wife, Anne,  each of Courtland, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and two beloved grandpuppies, Gracie Marie Martin and Joanna Rose Martin.

The family will be receiving friends at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, and his graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25 in the Town of Conway Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Phillips and the Rev. Willie McLawhorn presiding.
