Rupert Edward Liverman

COFIELD – Rupert Edward Liverman, 76, of 216 Wiccacon Road, Cofield, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Mr. Liverman was born in Hertford County and was the son of the late Rupert Owen and Lucy Frances Pearce Liverman.  A retired farmer, he was a member of Harrellsville Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.  He had also served in the NC National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Burton Liverman; and a sister, Mildred Johnson.

Surviving are his daughter, Anita Gail Liverman; and his son, Louis Edward Liverman and wife, Stephanie, all of Cofield; three brothers, Richard Liverman of Cofield, Ben Liverman of Manchaca, TX and Jim Liverman of Aulander; a half-sister, Lillian Pruden of Merry Hill; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012 in Harrellsville Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Hall.

Friends may join the family at the residence.
