COMO- Samuel Thomas Burbage, Jr., 95, passed away on December 2, 2011.

A life long resident ofHertfordCounty, he was the oldest of eight children of the late Samuel Thomas Burbage, Sr. and Sadie Jordan Burbage. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Burbage.

He retired from farming when he was 84 years old and was a member ofBethlehemBaptistChurch.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Annie B. Gray and husband, Walter; grandsons, Walter Dailey “Dail” Gray, Jr. and wife, Kiki, and Trent Burbage Gray and wife, Charlene, all of Como; five great grandchildren, Samuel, Phoebe, Lucy and Gracie Gray and Lucas Vinson; and a sister, Myra B. Simmons of Chester, VA.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011 atBuckhornBaptistChurchCemeteryinComowith the Rev. Thomas Caulkins officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Ann and Walter Gray and suggest memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Kathy Worrell,717 Fairview Drive,Franklin,VA23851.
