COFIELD – Dorothy Burton Liverman, 79, of 216 Wiccacon Road, Cofield died Thursday, October 20, 2011 in her home.

Mrs. Liverman was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late Jethro Clyde and Annie Mae Lane Burton.

A homemaker, she was a member of Harrellsville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Councill and Ailene Rountree.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 52 years, Rupert Edward Liverman; a daughter, Anita Gail Liverman; a son, Louis Edward Liverman and wife, Stephanie, all of Cofield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in the Harrellsville Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Hall and the Rev. Billy Presley.  Friends may join the family at the residence.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is handling arrangements.
