Under arrest – again

GREENVILLE – Two armed robberies here have led to the arrest of a Gates County man.

Joseph Norman Bradshaw, 57, of N.C. 37 in Gates is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted armed robbery. He was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond Thursday.

The first of the two incident occurred Oct. 5 when Bradshaw allegedly entered Jimmy Johns Restaurant on Moye Boulevard, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money.

Bradshaw escaped the business with an undetermined amount of cash.

The next day Bradshaw allegedly attempted to rob McDonald’s on East Tenth Street.

The Greenville Police responded and were on the scene of the restaurant within two minutes. When they arrived, Bradshaw was still inside McDonalds and he was taken into custody as he exited the business.

Bradshaw is no stranger to law enforcement, having a record that dates back to 1984 and includes more than 70 charges. He has been convicted of multiple breaking and entering charges as well as having a record as a habitual felon.
