MURFREESBORO – Laura Mae Hooks, 79, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Parker’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Carver’s Park Cemetery. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
