Clarence “Two Ton” Elliott Joyner

HARRELLSVILLE – Clarence “Two Ton” Elliott Joyner, age 85 of Harrellsville, passed away October 2, 2011 at Brian Center Health & Rehab Center in Windsor.

Clarence was born July 26, 1926 in Rocky Mount, NC, the son of the late Clarence Edward Joyner and Thelma Forehand Joyner. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Edward Hines Joyner, W.H. Joyner and Dolly Joyner Nelson.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy Joyner of Durham; his brother; Ernest Joyner and wife, Virginia, of Colerain; his  beloved pet, Wrinkles; his special friends, Coleman Taylor and Rachel Mabrey of Harrellsville; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of The Brian Center and Dr. Khoury for helping Mr. Joyner as his health declined.

Graveside memorial services to celebrate the life of Clarence Joyner will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Harrellsville Cemetery with the Rev. Hugh Mizelle officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to PAWS of Hertford County.
