Mollie Christine Taylor, 87, of Natural Bridge Station, VA, formerly of Conway, NC, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home.

She was born April 3, 1924 in Screven County, GA, the daughter of the late Leo Anderson and Mollie Sowell Anderson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Taylor; and a son, Robert E. Taylor, Jr.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Arnolds Valley Southern Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Donna A. Simpson of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Yvonne Jarvis, Susan Miller, Robert L. Taylor, Christi Coleman and Emily Jenkins; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, VA with the Rev. Sheldon Sorrels officiating. Burial will be private at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
