WINTON – George Clinton Whitaker, 79, of West Joyner Street, Winton, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. A private graveside service will be held at the Whitaker Family Cemetery, Como. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
