ST. JOHN – Charles Wesley Liverman, age 52, of St. John died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

He was born May 7, 1959 in Hertford County to the late Johnnie Liverman and Mary Dunning Liverman.

He was lovingly known as Husband, Father, Grandpa Wes and Fire Chief. He was Coordinator of Police and Fire with Roanoke Chowan Community College and was retired from Dare County EMS. He will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at St. John Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery. Rev. Don Christian and Dr. Jimmy Jarrell will officiate.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cynthia Baker Liverman of the home; a son, Travis Liverman of York, PA; three grandchildren, Case, Ciya and Cole; stepchildren, Patrick Terry and his wife, Emily, of Murfreesboro, Anelle Joyner and her husband, Russ, and Candace Terry and her fiancé, Derek Jenkins, all of Aulander; and step grandchildren, Parker Terry and Madison Joyner.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie. Memorials may be made to the St. Johns Fire Department.
