Creel, McGee exchange vows at Valley Pine

LASKER – Danielle Elizabeth Creel of Conway and George Mark McGee of Margarettsville exchanged wedding vows during an outdoor ceremony at 5:30 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Valley Pine Country Club in Lasker.
The bride is the daughter of Dianne and Buddy Creel of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Edith and Robert Drewette of Jackson and Elizabeth Creel and the late Marvin Creel of Seaboard.
The bridegroom is the son of George and Debbie McGee of Severn. He is the grandson of Essie Mae and Shirley Woodard of Conway and the late Mildred and Richard McGee of Severn.
The Rev. Craig Janney of Murfreesboro performed the nuptial ceremony.
A program of wedding music was provided by Michelle Jacobson, violinist and Pam Woodard, pianist.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an exquisite Allure strapless diamond white Italian silk taffeta wedding gown. It featured a ruched bodice with appliqué beading detail. The tucked layers in the taffeta skirt flowed into an elegant train.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of lime green hydrangeas, brilliant pink trimmed white roses, white and hot pink mini calla lillies, and white and pink fressia .
Kimberly Brittenham, twin sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Durham of Garysburg, Lou Flythe and Mindy Drewette of Seaboard, all cousins of the bride, Amanda Dixon of Conway, friend of the bride, Heather Holmes of Wilmington, college friend of the bride, and Melissa Myer of Apex, sister of the groom.
Kiersten Flythe of Conway and Addison Newsome of Severn, friends of the bride and groom, served as flower girls.
Hinton Myer of Apex, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
George McGee of Severn, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Trent McGee of Greenville, cousin of the groom, Danny Ordnung, Mike Ordnung and Jim Bain, all of Jackson, Ben Bridgers of Kitty Hawk and Adam Newsome of Severn.
Norma Jo Drewette of Jackson, aunt of the bride, served as mistress of ceremonies.
Jessica Newsome of Severn and Julie Bain of Jackson served as guest book and program attendant.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in Biology and a 2010 graduate from Campbell University with a doctorate in Pharmacy. She is employed with Kerr Drug in Plymouth.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University with a BS in Agronomy with a Business concentration and is employed with the family farming business.
After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Margarettsville.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Valley Pine Country Club.
An after-rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents at Valley Pine Country Club in Lasker on June 3.

On April 10, a miscellaneous shower was held at Mt. Carmel Church Fellowship hall hosted by Kim Brittenham, Tori Whitley, Jennifer Ray, Amanda Dixon and Melissa Myer.
On April 30, a “Beverages and Bites” party was hosted by Joanne and Rick McGee, Tricia and Blake McGee, Trent McGee, Paige and Eddie Pinnix, Harrison and Drew Pinnix.
Bachelorette weekend took place May 20-22 at Nags Head.
A bachelor party was held March 25-27 at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
On June 3, a bridesmaid luncheon was held at Mt.Carmel Church Fellowship Hall, hosted by Sandra Flythe, Dianne Creel, Kim Brittenham, and Norma Jo Drewette, catered by Carla Stephenson.
