OAK ISLAND, NC – Ellen Minton Patton, age 56, formerly of Aulander, died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Wilmington, NC.

Mrs. Patton was born in Ahoskie, on May 15, 1955, a daughter of the late Bynum and Dorothy Odom Minton.  She was a member of Aulander Baptist Church and was retired as branch manager for Security Savings Bank.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, William C. Patton, of Oak Island; a daughter, Holly Knowles Nabors and husband, Brian, of Atlanta, GA; and a grandson, Preston Nabors of Atlanta.  Ellen was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Minton.

The family of Mrs. Patton will be receiving friends at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2011.  A memorial celebration of life service will be held at Aulander Baptist Church on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Johnson and Mike Davidson officiating.
