JACKSON — A total of four people are facing larceny charges in two separate robberies in Northampton County.

According to Northampton County Sheriff’s Detective Lt. Brenda Burnette, the first reported larceny occurred on March 29 when Sheriff’s Deputy Jimmy Bracy responded to a residence on Lassiter Mill Road in Potecasi.

The victim reported several items missing, including farm equipment and a diesel tank as well as other items that could be sold as scrap metal.

“It was turned over to Detective Sgt. Lynette Clements and due to that investigation we were able to arrest three people,” said Burnette.

Those individuals were: Frank Barry Lassiter, 48, of Potecasi, Lisa Greene Cutright, 48, of Aulander and Sherry Kirk Bradshaw, 30, of Conway.

Each were charged with felony larceny and placed in the Northampton County Jail on $15,000 secured bonds.

Burnette said an arrest has been made for a April 14 robbery that occurred on Benthall Cook Road near Rich Square.

Deputy Jeff Barnes arrived on the scene where several pieces of farm equipment were stolen.

The investigation was later turned over to Clements, which resulted in Derek Lashaun Askew, 22, of Kelford being taken into custody for the crime.

Askew was charged with felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in jail on a combined bond of $10,000.

Burnette said more arrests may be pending in this case.
