AHOSKIE –  Mrs. Ramona Delores Farmer Shouse, age 81, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Mrs. Shouse was born October 9, 1929 in Bertie County, the daughter of the late Willie Farmer and Penny Estelle Hall Farmer.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl Beasley and her husband, Morris, of Woodland, Lynette Verholtz and her husband, Joe, of Shingletown, California and Penny Eure and her husband, John, of Colerain; her sister, Jackie Kieft of Garner; her brother, Willie “Pookie” Farmer of Millennium; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Monday, May 16, 2011 at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander with the Rev. Taylor Latham officiating.
