GATESVILLE – Edward Herbert Riddick Jr., 59, of Gatesville died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Riddick; four sons, Aaron Riddick of Gates, Brian Riddick of Murfreesboro, Edward D. Riddick of Germany and Harvey Riddick of Gatesville; two daughters, Angie Riddick of Indiana and Annie Jones of Lacey, Washington; two brothers, Leroy Riddick of Rocky Mount and Donnie Riddick of Sunbury; three sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Joyce Riddick, both of Sunbury, and Jacqueline Riddick of Portsmouth, VA; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Gates Chapel of Hertford County Undertakers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church in Sunbury. The Rev. Samuel L. Buck Sr. and Bishop Richard Thompson will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
