COLERAIN – Dorothy Ann Mitchell, 66, of  628 Glovers Cross Road, Colerain, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her residence.

She was a native of Bertie County and a member of 1st Baptist Colerain Church of Colerain.

Survivors include a son, Tony Mitchell (Sheila) of Suffolk, VA; a daughter, Dotty Ashe of Colerain; her parents, James William Mitchell Sr. and Annie Laura Rascoe Mitchell of Colerain; a brother, James W.  Mitchell Jr. (Emma) of Colerain; a sister, Evon Mitchell of Powellsville; and five grandchildren, Caleb Moore, Calen Mitchell, Diamond Ashe, Tony Mitchell Jr. and Gabrielle Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Rountree Temple of Praise Church of God in Christ International in Powellsville with Bishop Anthony Herring officiating. Burial will be in the 1st  Baptist  Colerain Church  Cemetery.
