KINSTON – Sidney Earl Williams, 72, of 6512 Skeeter Pond Road, Kinston, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Kinston.

He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Leigh E. McKee.

Mr. Williams was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kinston and Greenville and the Kinston Exchange Club where he served in many capacities.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Dennis Tiller officiating.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Shirley Ellis Williams; his children, Johnny, Bobbi and Kevin; numerous siblings in the Ahoskie area; and five grandchildren, Michael, Cheyenne, Megan, Tyler and Dakota.

Garner Funeral Home of Kinston is assisting the family with the arrangements.
