MURFREESBORO – Alvin Lee Willson, 75, of Murfreesboro died Monday, February 21, 2011 in Norfolk, VA.

“Al” graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree, was an electrical engineer, and retired from Parsons Engineering Science and Willson Engineering Corporation.

He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was an active member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Rebecca Hardy Willson; his daughter, Mary W. Dilday and husband, J. E. Dilday Jr.; his sons, Daniel Willson and fiancée, Virginia Fairchild, John Hardy Willson Sr. and wife, Sarah, and Flory Willson; and his grandchildren, Madison Lee Dilday, Caroline Flory Willson and John Hardy Willson Jr.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery in Kenbridge, VA. The family will receive friends at the Clarke Funeral Home, 110 E. Fifth Avenue, Kenbridge on Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
