JACKSON — A Rich Square man has been arrested for allegedly stealing electronics from a residence near here.

According to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, Dontay Pugh, 18, of Highway 258, Rich Square, was taken into custody for the crime.

He was charged with felony breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and one county of injury to personal property.

Pugh was placed in the Northampton County Jail on a $20,000 secured bond.

NCSO Chief Detective Capt. D.M. Harmon said the charges against Pugh stem from a break-in of a residence outside of Jackson on Jan. 28.  Several electronic items were taken from the home.

Sergeant Jason Boone was the responding officer and the case was turned over to NCSO Sgt. Detective Lynnette Clements. As a result of Clement’s investigation, Pugh became the suspect and warrants were drawn for his arrest.
