AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the 2011 baseball and softball league.

Signups will be held from now until March 7.

All players must be five years old on or before May 31, 2011 and no more than 15 years of age prior to July 31.

Registration will be $15 for in-town residents and $25 for out-of-town residents. The uniform cost will be $15.

If there are spaces available after the March 7 deadline, a $5 late fee will be charged for any signup.

No refunds will be issued.

The coaches meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 15 at the Ahoskie Recreation Center located at 1103 West Main Street for those interested in coaching.

Baseball clinics will be held for all participants on the Dennis Everett and Simon Perry field at Hertford County High School on April 2.

Draft day is set for April 7 and opening ceremonies will be April 30.
