AHOSKIE – Mary Lee Pierce Harrell, age 74, of Ahoskie died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Guardian Care Nursing Home in Ahoskie.

She was born September 6, 1936 in Gates County to the late John Frennie Pierce and Flossie Cooper Pierce. She was the wife of the late William T. Harrell.

She was a nurse’s aide and a member of Union Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in the Ashley Memorial Chapel at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie. Rev. Curtis Pixler will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Lee Harrell of Ahoskie, John Eric Harrell and his wife, Carolyn, of Ahoskie and Linda Marie Brown and her husband, Bucky, of Askewville; sisters, Thelma Oliver of Timberlake and Mae Joyner of Chapel Hill; a brother, Ray Pierce; grandchildren, Crystal Harrell, Zeek Williams, Christie Brown and David Brown; and a great grandchild, Elizabeth Edwards.
