Lady Eagles split

The Northeast Academy Lady Eagles claimed a 15-point win Wednesday night.
Northeast defeated the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf 50-35 just after falling to Hobgood Academy by a final of 53-30.
Against the School for the Deaf, the Lady Eagles led 7-6 after one quarter and edged ahead 18-16 by the intermission. The third quarter saw Northeast outscore their opponents 14-6 to secure a 32-22 lead.
Ivey Little had a game-high 16 points to pace Northeast with Ashton Liverman adding 11 for the Lady Eagles.
Hannah Roye had nine points for Northeast while Kaylen Rose and Mollie Cocke had four points each. Morgan Galloway added three and Taylor Morris had two points.
In the loss to Hobgood, Northeast fell behind 17-6 after one quarter. The Lady Raiders pushed their advantage to 30-12 by the intermission and led 41-22 after three quarters.
Liverman paced the Eagles with 12 points while Rose had eight. Roye and Cocke added four points each and Morris had two points.
Schuyler Edmondson led the Lady Raiders with 16 points.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Eagles dropped a 24-8 decision to Hobgood.
Northeast was led by four from Madison Burch while Molly Leggett had three. Holly Byrum had one point.
April Duke led Hobgood with 10 points.
