AHOSKIE – Dorothy Elizabeth Williams Perry, age 77 of Ahoskie, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

She was born August 17, 1933 in Bertie County to the late Cephus Williams and Dorothy Eliza White Williams.

Mrs. Perry was a former Carolina Telephone Company employee and was Manager at Hertford County High School’s Cafeteria.

She was a member of Earlys Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was involved in all church activities. She was a Seamstress and love gardening.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Earlys Baptist Church. Rev. Ronald McSwain will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; two sons,  Larry Perry and his wife, Becky, and Paul Perry, both of Ahoskie; a daughter, Gail Perry Trueblood and her husband, Jerry, of Jamesville; two brothers, Robert Williams of Rocky Mount and David Williams of Houston, Texas; a sister, Nancy Taylor of Winton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home.
