AHOSKIE – Earl Wayne “Big Babe” Odom passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC.

He spent his life as a self-employed commercial fisherman, a business from which he had retired.

Mr. Odom was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are three sons, Julian Odom, James “Bud” Pugh and Ellis “Turk” Odom; two daughters, Casey Morris and Donna Whitaker; two brothers, Donald Odom and Joseph Steve Odom; three sisters, Nora Lee Hobbs, Dollie Harris and Linda Baggett; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel – Rich Square. Burial will follow in the Aulander Cemetery. Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Aulander, is handling the arrangements.
