Eula Baker McFadden

MURFREESBORO – Eula Baker McFadden, age 80, of the 500 block of Lakeview Drive, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. McFadden was born on April 24, 1930, in Hertford County, NC, a daughter of the late William and Mary Ethel Baker.  She was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church and was retired from the Murfreesboro Police Department where she worked as a dispatcher for 15 years.  She was the widow of Glynn Calvin McFadden.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Glynda McFadden-Vann of Murfreesboro; her son, Ben Keith McFadden of Como; a granddaughter, Amie McFadden Howell, and a great granddaughter, Rylie Howell, of Como.  Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. McFadden was predeceased by a son, William Michael McFadden; a sister, Margie Cox, and four brothers, William E. Baker, Eugene Baker, Moody Baker and Jack Baker.

A graveside celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Ahoskie Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Lee Canipe officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home.
