ROCKY MOUNT – Rhonda Kay Meeks Peace, 51, formerly of Northampton County, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC.

Mrs. Peace was born February 16, 1959 in Hertford County, the daughter of the late Charles Bevely Meeks.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Robert E. “Bobby” Peace of Rocky Mount; her mother, June Harrell Edwards and husband, Junius, of Galatia; her daughter, Adrienne Peace Pittman and husband, Patrick, of Rocky Mount; her sisters, Carol Meeks Davis and fiancé, Chuck Buffaloe, both of Conway and Melissa Edwards Barnes and husband, Glen, of Galatia; two grandchildren, Jordan and Draven Pittman of Rocky Mount; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Viverette and husband, Jimmy, of Rocky Mount.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander with the Rev. Tommy Hagan officiating. Burial will follow at Aulander Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
