SUFFOLK, Va. – Herbert Riddick “Pete” Wiggins, 80, passed away November 1, 2010 at his residence.

Born in Gates County, NC, he was the son of the late Charlie and Adelaide Wiggins, Sr.

As of November 13, 2010 he would have celebrated 59 years with his loving wife, Louise Briggs Wiggins.

Pete was an auto mechanic for over 40 years and retired as owner/operator of Eastover Service & Repair. He was a Member of West End Baptist Church, Travelers Post “P”, and the Suffolk Elks Lodge 685.

Pete lived life to the fullest and whenever you saw him he always had a good joke to share. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda W. Eure and husband, Danny J. Eure, of Eure, NC; sons, V. Keith Wiggins of Suffolk, H. Wayne Wiggins and wife, Debbie, of Suffolk; grandsons, Wade Wiggins of Portsmouth, Scott Wiggins and wife, Heather, of Suffolk; great-grandson, Gavin Wiggins; sisters, Clara W. Page of Mechanicsville, VA, and Catherine W. Merz of Glen Allen, VA; and brother, Horace H. Wiggins of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA, 23434 by the Rev. T. Floyd Irby, Jr. with entombment at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
