AULANDER –  Mrs. Janet Harrison Knox, age 63, of Aulander, NC died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

Mrs. Knox was born September 7, 1947 the daughter of the late Paul Woodrow Harrison and Vida Hudson Harrison Phelps. She was a member of Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Russell Knox; her daughters, Tammy Knox Kittrell and her husband, G.P., of Corapeake, NC and Mikki Knox Brown of Harrellsville, NC; her son, Jason Knox and his wife, Patricia, of Ahoskie, NC; her brother, Paul Harrison and his wife, Laree, of Plymouth, NC; and seven grandchildren, Cassidy Brown, Garrett Brown, Caleb Kittrell and Justin Kittrell all of Corapeake, NC, and Haley Knox, Marley Knox and Kingsley Knox, all of Ahoskie, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Ray Faircloth and the Rev. Danny Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends at Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church on Friday, Oct. 29 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church Youth Fund.
